The Barnhart School, founded in 1959, is a CAIS accredited K-8 school
founded by The Santa Anita Church. While not a religious educational
school per se, students recognize and enhance their spirituality through
daily chapel, and in the focus given to values, morals, and ethics.
Many of the world's major religions are represented in the student
body.
The school
delivers an unexcelled education in an atmosphere of respect and love
that encourages independence and self-responsibility. Each child is
challenged to his or her maximum potential, with a heavy emphasis
on self-discipline and self-direction within a guided framework. Every
experience offers lessons - not just in the rigorous curriculum of
reading, writing, mathematics, science, music, drama, and art, but
of the natural world, the inner world of the self, and the world of
one's relationships with others.
The Barnhart
School helps each child to develop a healthy, wholesome, and positive
self-concept based on real achievement, as well as relationships with
peers and with adults that prepare the child for the various social
roles that will be encountered throughout life.
