Teenage
and young adulthood can be some of the hardest years in a person’s
life. You’re never quite old enough to participate as an adult, yet
you’re expected to act like one at all times. Add in raging hormones,
and relentless social pressures and you’ve got a time-bomb ready to
go off at any time.
Teens and
young adults often have no one to talk to about their problems without
fear of condemnation or rejection. They need a place where they can
express their thoughts and opinions and not be criticized.
The Youth
Group offers teens and young adults this opportunity: the chance to
discuss real life issues in an open forum, without the fear of rejection,
and in a setting that is focused on God, and the good that each and
every person possesses.
The Youth
Group enters the main service each Sunday in the sanctuary. Shortly
after the start of the service, the Group exits with the younger Growing
Place children and convenes in the Fireside Room, just off the Fellowship
Hall. Following our regular weekly meeting, the Group joins the rest
of the SAC family for coffee and refreshments on the patio.
The Youth
Group is currently on hiatus while new members make their way to our
church. Please contact Rev.
Terry if you are interested in joining the Santa Anita Church
Youth Group.
